Despite rain and the dreary day we still had about 100 people show up for worship. Four riders came in from Laurel, Ms. on bikes in the rain,650 miles. God led them all the way, Amen! Richard, Gina, and Sky King arrived Saturday. We had lots of good fellowship over the 2 days. On Sunday, a local man was saved. Welcome to God's grace, Tony Maberry! Also a woman from Urbana, Il. was healed of an affliction in her hands. When she left, her hands were better than mine(Q-Ball). The praise and worship band Spirit and Truth was awesome. The band was truly filled with the Spirit. Mike Shirley gave a testimony during the service and Tony came forward without any hesitation, knowing he needed Jesus as his personal savior! After the service, we had and great fellowship. Be looking for another event coming this fall. God is moving in Carlinville, IL. |

Ladies & Gentlemen,
We have a problem!
Anthony Underwood in Jackson, MS has a ministry just like the Mission at the Cross facility in Laurel, and much like the facilities your unit and other units are considering across the U.S.
His operation is called Healing Touch and has a tremendous success ratio. A civilian has given him a new facility that is truly breathtaking. It overlooks a huge lake and is an incredible blessing. However, the community doesn’t want the “kind of folks” we’re in the business of helping in their community.
Anthony is a tenacious Hellfighter. Knowing him like I do, back up, shut up or give up ain’t in his vocabulary, so he is pushing for a meeting with the entire city to hash it out ‘till victory is won.
Anthony needs us to pray that the oppositions’ hearts will be softened so God can be honored by Anthony’s love for Him.
Thank you,
Hellfighter Richard

PLEASE BE IN PRAYER FOR THE GASTON RESCUE MISSION. Today, April 26, 2010 in a meeting with the Salvation Army, the Mission was notified that they are no longer allowed access to their property due to a new fence being constructed by the Salvation Army (for a Beautification Project) The Mission was denied access to it's property except to remove the contents of the building. The Mission has been at it's current location for well over 12 years and has fed and provided solace and comfort to the less fortunate citizens of Gastonia. The Board of Directors of the Mission are believing that "New Doors will be opened" to the ministries of Mission. Please visit www.gastonrescuemission.org for any further information regarding the Gaston Rescue Mission and its ministries. |

Sparky, (Hellfighter Vice-President & Chaplin California Inland Empire) and dear friend started having problems breathing he noticed this more at night when trying to sleep. After several nights of this and not knowing what his body was telling him he decided he would plant himself at the VA Hospital in Loma Linda. That was exactly what he did. During this time Sparky was able to witness to several people at the hospital. He has always had time to do the Lord's work. You can hear the delight in the tone of his voice saying "I've invited more people to fellowship with us at Judson Baptist Church". Finally on the second day of his rally in the hallways the VA admitted him to the hospital. After several days of testing, blood draws, x-rays and a biopsy of his lungs they were finally able this morning to provide him and his wife Judy with a diagnosis. Pulmonary Fibrosis.
As you can imagine, the devastating shock and fear that went through Sparky and Judy minds when the doctor told them. The only words that came readily recalled was "a terminal disease and not treatable". They told Sparky and Judy that the Pulmonary Fibrosis is in both lungs and is rapidly growing. Judy and Sparky are both very firm believers in Our Lord. Judy really didn't need reminding that only God could tell you how much time you have left on this earth.
Sparky's wife, family and friends will now arm themselves with prayers and will need to learn about and fight this disease. Sparky was released from the hospital this afternoon. They have delivered oxygen and other medical needs to his home. They were told that the VA Hospital could not treat this disease and have recommended that he go to UCLA. They have several clinical trials that may slow the growth in his lungs.
As brothers and sisters in Christ please feel free to send cards of encouragement to their home. With the Grafton's belief they have in God and Sparky's will to fight this disease we know that God will help him through this battle.
