Covenant Of Commitment

Our Belief
Hellfighters International belongs to God. It was birthed by prayer, bathed in His consolation, and anointed for His purpose.
We believe that the Bible is God’s infallible Word, that it is our daily guide and final authority for both faith and conduct. We are totally committed to the Bible as God’s ultimate plan for man.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and because of His sacrificial death upon the cross we can have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
We believe that a Hellfighters main purpose is to lead the lost to Christ and to encourage them to be part of a local, Bible- believing, God-honoring church. Hellfighters must follow a lifestyle conducive to this purpose.
We realize that every Hellfighter is involved in spiritual warfare and thus under military discipline. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself in the affairs of life; that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier (2 Timothy 2:3-4). Other interests and considerations must take second place to this primary purpose for a Hellfighter’s life.
We are mobilized to wage war against the enemy every day. All Hellfighters must recognize the fact that every member is under divine appointment to rescue the perishing 24/7/365.

Our Bodies

Hellfighters believe that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit and therefore righteous. What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? (1 Corinthians 6:19)Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God (Romans 6:13). We must keep our bodies clean and consecrated for the Master’s use.
Hellfighter members must abstain from the use of tobacco, alcohol, and addictive drugs. We affirm a position against pre-marital, extramarital and deviant sex including homosexual relationships. Hellfighters also refuse to accept the loose moral standards of today’s society.

Our Minds
Hellfighters believe that our minds and hearts are the dwelling place of God. We believe our minds should be kept pure and positive in the midst of an extremely negative world. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things(Philippians 4:7-8).
Hellfighters are to govern the intake of their mental “diet.” The proliferation of pornography in our society makes it imperative that all Christians, not only Hellfighters, discipline their minds and do not allow them to feed on the profane, vulgar or hedonistic behavior prevalent in our culture.
Hellfighters are to avoid material that degrades the human mind and dilutes its strengths toward pornographic weaknesses. We should replace such mind altering garbage with images and content that nurture and strengthen the minds of spiritual men. Hellfighters must maintain our commitment to study the Bible.

Our Spirits
The spirit of our mind is the spirit of our passion. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would (Galatians 5:17).
The spirit rulers of this present darkness are ever attacking the strongholds of the minds of unsuspecting Believers. Hellfighters must guard against desires that breed so easily in the human spirit. The selfishness that motivates the culture of a modern Christian’s faith can easily destroy our testimony. We must not let that happen. We, therefore, urge all Hellfighters to exhibit the mind of Christ in all attributes. Only let your conversation be as it becometh the Gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the Gospel (Philippians 1:27).

Our Speech

Our speech reveals much about us. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers (Ephesians 4:29). Hellfighters should be known by our wholesome conversation. Our goal is to refrain from speaking anything that is untruthful, unclean, or unprofitable to the kingdom of God. Hellfighters must make sure that our conversations affirm our faith and does not hinder our testimony.

Our Relationships

Our relationships reveal our preferences with people. Hellfighters are not to align ourselves with individuals or organizations that stand in contradiction to Christian principles. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers… (2 Corinthians 6:14a). “Bad company corrupts good morals” (1 Corinthians 15:33b, nasb). A Hellfighter’s commitment to Jesus Christ takes precedence to any political party or economically structured institution.
Anytime there is a conflict between a Hellfighter’s commitment to Christ and any other event or happening, a Hellfighter must remember Who comes first and why.
Hellfighters must always be honest and ethical in all our relationships.

Our Families

Hellfighters agree that the family is the basic unit of society. Its divine origin makes it of vital concern both to the church and to the commitment of a biblical lifestyle, which will ultimately impact our society.
We give priority to the sanctity of marriage and to the relationship in the home.  While the husband is the recognized head of the home, he is also commanded to love and protect his wife as he would his own body. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it (Ephesians 5:25). Wives are also to love and honor their husbands. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and He is the Savior of the body (Ephesians 5:22-23).
Hellfighters are to love and honor their children, but at the same time refrain from provoking them to anger and resentment. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). Children are to obey their parents. Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honor thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth (Ephesians 6: 1-3).
Families of Hellfighter members should worship their creator together in a local church. The relationships in the home should reflect the healing Christ brings to all human beings.

Our Stewardship

Our commitment to Jesus Christ includes stewardship. According to the Bible, everything belongs to God. The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world and all who live in it (Psalm 24:1). Our stewardship of possessions begins with His resources. Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed Me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed Thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed Me, even this whole nation (Malachi 3:8,9).
Hellfighters are expected to return 10% of their income to the Lord. This tithe is to be paid into the treasury of the local church or as directed by God to the individual. In addition to the tithe, all Hellfighters are obligated, because of their all-consuming love for Jesus, to give additional offerings out of the 90% that God allows each of us to use as we please. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in Mine house, and prove Me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open [unto] you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it(Malachi 3:10).
Stewardship is not just giving your money; it includes the use of your time, your talents and your spiritual gifts. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness(Romans 12:6-8). For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 25:29-30).

Our Loyalty

Loyalty involves the commitment of all Hellfighter members. Our leaders should be role models. All those in leadership positions should set the example by their faithfulness. Loyalty involves participation in your local church, local Hellfighter chapter, evangelistic campaigns, leadership councils, etc. Loyalty is affirmed by participation. The morale of our ministry depends upon positive leadership, cooperation and participation. Negative criticism will destroy our testimony. …serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. If we live in the spirit, let us also walk in the spirit (Galatians 5:25).

Conclusion

This Covenant of Commitment is intended as a guide to all who choose to be Hellfighters. It is not a system for monitoring or for judging. Neither is this Covenant of Commitment to be considered as the exhaustive statement concerning a biblical lifestyle. We believe the Old and New Testaments are God’s complete and final Word. Careful and continual study of God’s Word will guide all Hellfighters to a greater understanding of what it means to be called into the army of Jesus Christ.
Any Hellfighter found having difficulty adhering to a biblical lifestyle or this Covenant of Commitment should seek love and patient instruction from other Hellfighters in order to find restoration. If a Hellfighter member cannot adhere to a biblical lifestyle or to our Covenant of Commitment and all efforts to restore him have failed, that Hellfighter will be asked to step down as a frontline warrior until such time as a full restoration has occurred. The patch, membership card and/or any other Hellfighter credentials must be returned at that time.
The purpose of this Covenant of Commitment is to establish the position of our purpose and our commitment to our calling to firmly establish this great commission evangelistic ministry with one goal in mind… bringing men to Jesus.
